I went to Salem the weekend before Halloween. This is me with my friend Candice in front of some ship. Honestly I don't even remember what the significance of this ship was. Anyway, Salem was so CHEESY! I mean I guess I'm not surprised. I'm sure they love to grift the unsuspecting tourists.

This is a guy sitting on top of the entrance to the Copley T stop. And some guy holding a sign talking about hell. And also lots of people milling about wearing Red Sox gear. And all because of this...

I can assure you that the grey sweatshirt is Big Papi. Trust me. I went to the Red Sox parade and it was the greatest thing ever. Other than Big Papi I saw Jonathan Papelbon (and the Dropkick Murphys!), Curt Schilling (holding the trophy no less!), Dustin Pedroia, Bobby Kielty, and Theo Epstein. Sadly, I didn't get to see Manny... But so far it is the most amazing thing I have done since I've been in Boston.
At a bar in Somerville after my first experience with candlepin bowling. I didn't think I could be any worse than I am at regular bowling...boy was I wrong!
Christina's birthday celebration at the Pour House. Somehow we got this reputation as the loud, dancing table....I don't know how that could possibly be the case...
I had a little Thanksgiving potluck at my house the weekend before Thanksgiving. Amy and Sean and Adam and Amber came over. It was a nice little crowd, but we had so much food! In a fit of brilliance, I made a turkey. And it was kind of a disaster. It didn't cook all the way, despite the fact that the meat thermometer said it was the correct temperature. Although later I learned that can be a problem with organic turkeys (I bought it at Trader Joes, so it was also vegetarian-fed, no hormones, pre-brined, and twice what I would have paid at a regular grocery store.) Hopefully I will have better luck next year. I pretty much have to make a turkey next year because what else am I going to do with a roasting pan and rack?
